We had a roving and yarn delivery for Ken and Oogie McGuire at Desert Weyr. They were busy lambing out their ewes in the apple orchards while we were there and took time to pose for some blog fodder photos.
They have unique conservationists' views on their flock management and produce a very high quality mutton for specialty sales. Their program is closely coordinated with British colleagues, with much emphasis placed on breed character and traditional application of hill breeds and ancient genetics.
Check out their link (above) and learn more about the McGuires and their sheep!
