Annual Shearing Festival!

The date is set for February 18th! We'll preview fleeces for sale on the sheep at 9am, first come, first serve, and shearing will start at 10am. I'll be cooking a luncheon featuring my SonCroft Prime Lamb(tm) that will be served at noon, and we'll start shearing again right after lunch.

Dad shearing Bernadine (Starkey B190) at Last Year's Event.

There are a couple of tentative workshops that we'll be hosting after lunch too! I'll post those when they are confirmed. Tours of the mill and shopping in our Sheep Camp farm store are welcome! We'll have a sign-up sheet for summer fiber workshops that we'll be hosting and events to get out of the heat in the valley. I'll be working on an e-newsletter for the mill and the flock soon.

Hey, by the 18th there should be lots of Bluefaced Leicester lambs to hold and ogle too!!!

I'll be bringing a large group of Bluefaced Leicester, Shetland Mule and a diverse group of extremely stylish Shetlands for your selection.

I'll post a preview of fleeces, sort of a virtual walk through the flock, and updates on the workshops soon! I've been photographing sheep, fleeces and yarns like a madman for this and the webstore for the mill. Lots of fun.

RSVP to sheepcampmill@aol.com.

Hey, and 'friend' me on Ravelry... SonCroftJared.
